Drafting and Planning: Draft Contents and Double Page Spread

Here is my first draft double page spread. For this draft I decided to look at other magazines for help, as I found it difficult to picture what I wanted my magazine to look like. I decided to have a design easy to read. I decided to have a headline and text on one side with an additional section of text on the other side along with the image and one or two quotes. I think this is a good idea, but may be flawed. The continued text and quotes may get in the way of the image. I'm not sure if I will use this design for my final magazine.
For my draft contents page I have decided to create a very simple design. I think that there will be an image of the artist/band opposite the information about the act, with possibly an arrow linking the writing to the image. I think I will do this because I feel it is essential that the reader knows what the artist looks like as it helps create an identity of the artist.  I quite like how it is settle as it is incredibly straight forward, maybe too straight forward. I feel that I may need to add some other features to make it more appealing, like a pug. Overall I think this design would work, but could be better.

  1. To improve I could use page numbers and make sure I link to my front cover
